Florida Lemon Law

Under the Florida Lemon Law, if your vehicle is a lemon, you are entitled to either
your money back or a new replacement vehicle, in some instances the
manufacturer may be required to pay your attorney fees.

Manufacturers generally try very hard to avoid refunding your money or replacing
your car. But, if your car is a lemon as defined in the Florida Lemon Law, you are
entitled to a replacement car or a refund of the money you paid. However, the
manufacturer will be entitled to a credit based upon the number of miles you drove
the vehicle, so the sooner you resolve your claim the less will be deducted from
your refund.
Contact David Gruskin if you believe you purchased a lemon.

Automobile Fraud

In Florida most people rely on cars for transportation and other than their homes
cars are their largest expenditures. Huge sums of money are spent to purchase,
finance, repair and maintain automobiles. Unfortunately, problems regarding
these issues always rank at the top of lists of consumer complaints. Please feel
free to
contact David  Gruskin if you believe you have been a victim of fraud or unfair
dealing involving these matters.

Credit Reporting Problems

One national study found that almost one half of credit reports contain errors and
that over one fourth of the credit reports contained errors serious enough to result
in a denial of credit. You are entitled to obtain a free credit report from each of the
three major credit bureaus. You may obtain your credit reports from
annualcreditreport.com. It is extremely important to check your credit reports at
least once a year for many reasons such as to make sure they do not contain
errors, that you are not a victim of identity theft and that someone else's information
has not been mixed up with the information contained in your report. Under federal
law the credit bureaus and the creditors have a duty to correct inaccurate
information. There are some simple steps you can take to try and correct the
incorrect information. If the information is not corrected you may be able to file a
lawsuit for damages, costs and attorney's fees. If you need help in correcting
errors on your credit report

Debt Collection Disputes

Debt collectors are governed by both Florida and Federal law. These laws were
enacted to protect consumers from harassing, abusive, and deceptive collection
practices. If you are a victim of collection abuse you should:

1. Save copies of all letters and notices from collection agencies.
2.  Keep a detailed log of all calls from collectors.
3. Save all phone messages and voice mails.
